Music fans all over the world have spoken! You voted around the clock... you told everyone you know to support your favourite artist… and now you've chosen a local EMA winner! It's…

Best Asia Act: HAN GENG

Known as “the most influential male celebrity in China”, Chinese Mando-pop singer and actor Han Geng is undoubtedly dominating Southeast Asia. In 2005, he debuted in South Korea as the only Chinese member of Super Junior & the leader of its Chinese squad SJ-M but eventually left to focus on a solo career in 2009. His 1st solo album sold over a million copies and tickets to his 1st concert sold out in a record-breaking 37 minutes.

Best Australia/New Zealand Act: GOTYE

In 2011, Belgian-born, Australia-raised Gotye was nominated for a Best Asia/Pacific Act EMA…but since then he’s gone global in a big way. This year, the musician’s international breakout hit single ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ hit number one on the iTunes singles charts in an astonishing 46 countries. An innovative video boosted the song’s buzz, and is now YouTube’s 17th most viewed video of all time.
